Work and Research

My research has reflected a transdisciplinary approach, where a combination of theories and methods from various disciplines have informed my research. My research has also had a considerable impact, as I have been invited to several summer schools (the recent being "Spaces for the Future", which was held in Lusaka, Zambia, in September 2022), where I presented a paper titled "The Curse of Natural Resource, Examining the Insurgency in the Cabo Delgado Region, Mozambique". The increase in the citations (300+ on Google scholar and 224 on Researchgate) of my work further attests that it is significant because of its ability to gain recognition from a global audience. The significance of my work lies not only in readership and increasing citations but being able to integrate unique debates, arguments, and narratives to understand and explain current African development issues. Transdisciplinary is an essential aspect of research that has helped me foster alliances beyond South Africa and gain considerable readability online, evidenced by increased citations on portals such as research-gate and google scholar. Thus consolidating the relevance of my work and contributing to the transdisciplinary academic domain. My work on contemporary developmental issues integrates a transdisciplinary approach as they merge theoretical and methodological approaches from different disciplines, thus enabling a more mature and holistic argument. This ensures a unique contribution in multiple fields while also helping me grow in understanding the research process. This integration ensures that my work appeals to a global audience, increasing its visibility and relevance in the academic space.
