Bio
The areas of specialisation and research interests include energy economics and policy, public financial management, development economics, and public policy analysis. My primary research focuses on how energy access can boost economic prosperity in Africa while also protecting the natural environment and mitigating climate change. I also research on the impacts of government financial management decisions on the economy and citizen's economic and social well being. My methodological expertise includes the use of macro and micro-econometrics techniques, impact evaluation techniques such as computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling, randomised control trials, and quasi-experimental approaches.
