Bio

My research focus is on Mycology and Plant Pathology. I do research on Molecular detection and phylogenetic studies of fungal diseases on agricultural crops and forest trees. I have worked on basal stem rot and Fusarium wilt disease on crops and forest trees in Cameroon. My research area is expanded on studies on mushroom identification, phylogeny, domestication, diversity and conservation in Cameroon and South Africa, as well as fungi diseases on mushrooms. Also, I have worked on investigating the mycobiome of under utilized crops such as cow pea, bambara groundnut and sorghum in South Africa using next generation sequencing. I am open to expand my research to other countries in Africa and other regions in the world.
