My thoughts on the 10th anniversary of the ASLP programme:
"The Africa Science Leadership Programme 10th anniversary gathering was a moment that did not only bring back sweet memories and reflections, but it also reawakened me to the immense sense of responsibility that we carry as science leaders in the emergence of the Africa we want.
It was great bonding with many of those from my and other cohorts and nice to listen to the great influence the ASLP has had on our personal and collective journeys. It was a good moment to appreciate how far an idea can grow if properly incubated and I felt glad to have had the opportunity to be part of the story.
The duplication of SLP's across different African nations was such a wonderful landmark achievement.
It was also a time to project and strategically extrapolate into what the next ten years hold and our roles in it. In all, it was a great gathering, a great audience, a great venue, and was all about celebrating a great vision."
