Kenya-SLP

The initiative is run by the Kenya Science Leadership Program (Ke-ASLP) which stems from the Africa Science Leadership Programme (ASLP) at the University of Pretoria which has been shaping the next generation of science leaders across the continent for the past eight years. In Kenya, the Science Leadership Program was launched last year with a workshop for early-career researchers from different universities in the country.

The workshop at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology is therefore the second science leadership workshop in Kenya. Our goal is to keep mentoring the next generation of African leaders and to build a community of thought leaders, team managers, and innovators who recognize that leadership is not just about speaking but also about truly listening—to colleagues, institutions, and society.
